Lucien Smith Allergic to Morning

Dawn patrol is used these days – almost to the point of parody – by surfers seeking out early morning waves (often the best time to avoid crowds and ideal for lighter winds). The term originated in the military as code for reconnaissance flights made at first light usually to observe enemy positions.
